Convince leaders that the time is now to close skill gaps with a solid business case. They can't afford to wait.

Competency models have the ability to create a culture of learning that drives skill gap closure, upskilling and reskilling. While leaders all agree that people development is critical to their success, they don’t all prioritize action. Now is the time to act. Every day they wait, they fall behind the competition, and lose great talent. Show them that the cost of doing nothing (e.g., the cost of replacing people, the impact on creativity and innovation, and what turnover does to competitive advantage), far outweighs the costs of trying something different.
